Location: Vancouver based; hybrid (2-3 days in office)

About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Social Media Manager & Content Creator who lives and
breathes social media. This is not a traditional social media management role—we are looking
for a creator-first marketer who understands how to capture attention, create culturally relevant
content, and turn ideas into viral-worthy videos that drive engagement, brand awareness, and
sales.
You will own our organic social media presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok,
Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and emerging channels. You’ll be responsible for creating
compelling content, growing our community, and developing social-first creative that can also be
adapted for paid advertising campaigns.
The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, storyteller, videographer, editor, trend hunter, and
marketer.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation
• Conceptualize, produce, film, edit, and publish high-performing social media content.
• Create engaging short-form videos optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube
Shorts, and Facebook.
• Develop compelling Instagram Stories, carousels, behind-the-scenes content, and
community-focused content.
• Capture product, lifestyle, founder, customer, and event content that aligns with brand
objectives.
• Create content that feels native to each platform while maintaining brand consistency.
• Identify and leverage trends, memes, sounds, and cultural moments in a way that feels
authentic to the brand.

Social Media Strategy
• Develop and execute a comprehensive organic social media strategy.
• Build and maintain a content calendar aligned with marketing campaigns and business
goals.
• Monitor performance metrics and continuously optimize content based on audience
engagement and platform trends.
• Stay ahead of algorithm changes, platform updates, and emerging social media
opportunities.
• Generate and test new content concepts designed to maximize reach, engagement, and
shareability.

Community Growth & Engagement
• Grow and engage our online communities across all social platforms.
• Manage Social Listening strategy and execution, and respond to comments, messages,
and user-generated content opportunities.
• Develop comment-marketing strategy and participate in brand-aligned conversations
across social channels (inc. Meta, Tik Tok, Reddit, etc.)
• Foster authentic conversations and brand advocacy.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with creators, influencers, and brand ambassadors.

Performance Marketing Support
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative assets for paid social
campaigns.
• Repurpose top-performing organic content into advertising creatives.
• Generate multiple creative variations for testing and optimization.
• Understand key performance metrics such as CTR, ROAS, engagement rate, watch
time, and conversion performance.

Analytics & Reporting
• Track and report on content performance and audience and follower growth.
• Analyze engagement patterns and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Use insights and data to guide future content decisions and creative strategy.

Your Skills & Experience

Required
• 3+ years of experience managing social media accounts and creating content for
consumer brands.
• Proven track record of creating content that drives significant organic reach and
engagement.
• Strong portfolio showcasing viral or high-performing social media content.
• Advanced video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final
Cut Pro, or similar.
• Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.
• Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube content
ecosystems.
• Ability to independently shoot, edit, and publish content quickly.
• Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics.
• Highly creative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
• Experience creating content for direct-to-consumer (DTC) or consumer product brands.
• Experience working with influencers and content creators.
• Photography and videography skills.
• Experience creating content specifically designed for paid social advertising.
• Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and performance marketing principles.
• Experience using AI-powered creative tools and content production workflows.

Within the first 6–12 months, you will:
• Significantly increase organic reach and engagement across key social channels.
• Consistently create content that generates strong shares, saves, comments, and views.
• Build a recognizable and distinctive brand voice on social media.
• Develop a repeatable content engine that produces high-quality content efficiently.
• Contribute top-performing creative concepts that improve paid advertising performance.
• Help establish the brand as a leader within its category through social storytelling.

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
